Little Bitty Ugg style Boots

This freebie pattern is just so quick and easy to knit up - think though that the Sirdar Snowflake white wool I had is just perfect for the 'fur' effect

and they are a wee bit different from your ordinary baby bootees :)

Old Faithful

found the pattern I thought I had lost - its for a little girls shawl/cape - have done it in fluffy wool - but will do it again in the proper sort.  First time I knitted it was in about 1988!

Every one's a fluffy one!

I have a bit of an obsession for fluffy wools and a thing about hats lol

the top one is a fluffy winter headband and the bottom one is the luxury fur hat with ear flaps - both patterns free downloads from Lion Brand.

Have been knitting a fair few of the hats to sell

Thank You's

One of my friends was needing some thank you cards and this is the result - I wanted to do something special

I finished them of with little dots of glitter

The Dude done good!

Am really REALLY tickled pink  with his latest project .  I have always wanted a garden bench , my parents had one and it was nice to sit out there in the sunshine.  The ones I really liked had to be the expensive ones - over £200 each so thought better of it.

Our lovely neighbour brought the dude home some stripped down pallets which were going to be scrapped and THIS is the result.

All that is needed now is for it to be stained and me to make a detatchable seat pad

A Little Project............

Many moons ago I bought some semi-circular boxes - you open them up and discover they have a little mirror in the lid and a large and two small compartments.  Fabulous jewellery boxes.  I must have bought a few dozen of them.  With almost being in the new room I decided now was the time to decorate them.

There is a lot of potential there :).  I have about six here at the moment - any others are in a bag in the loft lol

Stayed tuned for the finished results

Sunday 10 July 2011

Found this pic lol

of a card I did for a letter 'J' swap - typical that it got lost in the post - but soooooooooooooooo glad I had taken a pic -

Can any of you tell what is REALLY unusual about this card

The Room so far........

I have been moving my stash up since my last post - still a few bits to go then the debris from the dining room and the puter desks gone through  and mainly binned - when that is finished I can get the dining room decorated and the table and chairs put in WOOOHOOOOO

So the room so far is looking lush - I keep walking into the middle of it and grinning - cant wait to get crafting in there (see - being really good and NOT getting side tracked from the tidy up by making things)

Boxes of 'bits' to be sorted

I love this 12 drawer trolley from Costco
Large plastic storage boxes and the drawers have come in handy as well

The drawers were actually 2 large and 2 small drawers and I had 4 left (gave away a couple to someone and the dude has one in the shed lol) to save floor space I built them up double sized
The smaller plastic storage box on top (left side) has punches, lots and lots of punches
Standing at the door looking in - even the cupboards are full now and the pigeon holes are fuller.

Thinking of getting one of the hardboard pasting tables out of B & M for a tenner to use as a mega crafting table for the time being - will be able to get a knitting machine on it :)  I have a metal puter desk thing which is going in there too - idea for when the lappy goes up there and a new printer (psst  - it would be really really nice to get a robo up there too )  can also use it when using the sewing machine.

I havent shown pics of the other side of the room - there are cardboard boxes of Family Tree stuff which is going to be packed into the spare plastic storage ones.

Its taken a wee while to get this far - but it is well worth it

The Move is on!

The move to my new craft room has started - oh eck! what a lot of stash I have :)  I did about 90% of the decorating myself so it really IS my craft room lol

The first three pieces of the modular units have gone up and the fill up begun -

its very very PINK isnt it lol

Another 3 of the wooden units have gone up and the 12 drawer trolley - Thanks Paul and Chris :)

Rediscovering some of the stash that was in the bottom cupboards that I couldnt get at - ooooh pretties :)

Double Twisted Easel Card

OK - showing off now lol  - Trial run - so excuse the garish card stock lol  also designed and cut on robo

Twisted Easel

Woohoo - or so I thought when I found a twisted easel template on UKS -  BUT it was in Studio format.  So I decided that now was the time to really get my act together and design stuff myself in GSD format - and this was the result .  I made it up quickly to see that it worked ok - there are various mats and 'stops' for it

Will maybe attempt a double twisted one in the morning!

Using up robo cuts :)

A couple of cards using some 'bits' I had cut

The top one is using a lacy circle mat by Silene I believe from UKS and the tulip circles from Angela Burke from CUP  onto a Kanban card blank I had and a sentiment from a kanban sheet which just blended in with it all

the 2nd one is on a lovely card blank - the Venetian Mask and mat design by Clive Coulter and bought from CUP - the images can be resized which is an added bonus

My kind of site!

On my meanderings through t'internet I found this FABBY site -  http://www.favecrafts.com/   the ideas are amazing - and the results outstanding - check it out!

Something different

I had a multitude of gorgeous Flora Doodles and thought - you're a long time dead and can't take them with you - so I have been using them - BOY - have I been using them!

And THIS is the result -

The colours are more vibrant IRL

Friday 13 May 2011

Some More CUP

This is a fairy theatre fold scallop edged card designed by Jean Gordon - really pretty and very ethereal

I just adore this design - the colours are so vibrant and the scallops are perfect for the flower - well done Ann Marie Vaux this is gorgeous.

Stacker mounted onto card and then onto a base card - from Kanban which was 'theatre curtains' and I felt was just perfect with the ruffles on the design

Todays Efforts

another Hello Kitty bracelet and some floral blinging hair grips

Still Alive and Kicking....

--- but been a tad under the weather - or it could be meds needing balanced.  Anyhooooo - I havent been slacking - got my act together and have printed off some CUP downloads that I have been buying over the last wee while.  Really pleased with the results

Tuesday 3 May 2011

Sunday 1 May 2011

Twisted Rope Bracelets

Beads bought in pound shop as well - 10 bottles of seeds beads in various colours and a reel of 'thread' - which I didnt use lol - I prefer using NYMO.  I did buy several sets of these beads , made up the ropes this last week or so and because my findings arrived today have sat watching TV finishing them off.  Pretty good value - 2 bottles make 3 bracelets!

The first two fully finished - have sort of lost count how many I actually made lol

Saturday 30 April 2011

Pound Shop Bargain!

We went in to several of them in town on Thursday and I bought this

So today I faffed about and made a set for myself - adding some jump rings , silver spacers a lobster clasp and a toggle fastening - which arrived in the post today from several ebay shops.- and this is the finished result

Also bought some gorgeous boxes for sets to give as gifts etc
